Members to Business Initiative
Like all unions, IBEW Local 103 has always aggressively targeted existing businesses to bring into the fold, and we have long talked about encouraging new businesses. But as for helping members create their own new companies, however, Mike Monahan has heightened the unions' efforts in an unprecedented way.
Through regular Member to Business seminars and continuously available resources, IBEW Local 103's increased attention to this important job creation initiative has resulted in record numbers of Local 103 members starting their own businesses. From the one-to-two man shop all the way to a former member who has employed 150 Local 103 members, this represents yet another way IBEW Local 103 is working to create union jobs.
